shorty vid, enjoy!

Here is a short video from our cardistry community called FLARE. We consist of 8 members, but there are only four of us in this clip. Filmed in an afternoon at Starbucks coffee shop, Cambridge city square. Editing done by me. Enjoy, rate, and comment ;)

Be crative through cinematography

An afternoon with nothing to do (again) and i finally decided to post this one. Now, i would like to share about my other interest. Other artform that i like is the art of filming a video and making it beautiful to watch or usually called cinematography (filmography). It's one interesting art because for me, it showcases the ability and creativity of the video maker to find the artistic side of everything, even simple things like a cup of coffee. For example, when you're given the task to film a report about a concert. A regular guy might just record the whole concert from the beginning to the end just by focusing on the stage and the performers. But a creative filmmaker would of course do it differently. He/she would notice other elements that could make the video a beauty to watch, such as the audiences, the ceiling, or even down to the seats and floor. For those who still don't get what i mean, here is a video from Michael Herp , a cinematographer and also a card artist

Not everyone will agree with me, but i think that video above is a joy to watch. From that short clip, we could see that everything, including a usual, simple thing such as making a coffee has the beauty inside. It just depends on how you view that something as. Creativity is the key.

Graceful? Umm..

Now this one's funny. I couldn't stop my laughter the first time i watched this. Just watch this and you'll get what i mean.

I think that guy got rejected from broadway or something, so he went to the football association, apply for the referee post, and there he goes.

Ahh, total gracefulness...

What is this Cardistry thing?

Geez, I found myself unable to sleep in this late late night (it's midnight in my hometwon), and ended up having this post done. For those who'd read my first post and don't know what "cardistry" is, I hope this post will help you.
As quoted in unitedcardists , cardistry is the "artistic movements of a deck of cards or a portion of the deck." Put simply, it's like doing some eye-catching moves using cards. This is totally different from sleight of hands (mainly used in magic), which is a kind of manipulation that disguises an effect to the spectators. And it means, cardistry is a whole different thing from magic. While the point of magic is to show spectators the supernatural or mystical ability of the performer or showing an impossible effect done, cardistry tends to showcase the skills of the performer because unlike magic, a card artist (the one who does cardistry) performs without any hidden moves. Cardistry can also be called Card Flourishing or XCM/Extreme Card Manipulation (which is actually a different style of cardistry, but I'll tell more about it later). Cardistry begins in around 2001, and since then has gained more and more popularity, mainly from teenagers.

Thumb fan; One of the moves usually done in cardistry

Guess that should help you guys know what cardistry is. Remember, it's a whole different thing from magic. And to tell the truth, I'm kinda annoyed when people asks me to do magic everytime i brought a deck of cards with me. But I know what they're thinking of, since cardistry is quite new and still widely unknown. And I bet the majority of readers will be totally clueless when they start reading this article too. But after you read it, please keep in your mind, everytime you see somebody bring cards anywhere, don't just tell yourselves that they are magician, they might me in the same league as me.
Now that i finished this post,  I just realized that my eyes are slowly asking to be closed. Thankyou again for reading and enjoy your day. :)

Awareness test

Had a lecture session and the lecturer showed us this vid to test our awareness. I laughed at myself when i tried it the first time. Have a go guys and find out how aware you could be.
Funny right?

Errrr...

Hello readers,
This is my first post in my blog and my first time typing an article like this , so sorry for the severely unsuitable usage of words and language (geez..)
Kinda confused to think of what to type actually , but here we go
I'm Albert, 17 y.o. when i typed this article, and I'm a student and also a cardist. A cardist (card artist) is an artist who does card flourishing or usually called "cardistry". For those who don't know and understand what in the world cardistry is, wait until I post my next article or click here
Enough of the cardist and cardistry thing, now let me tell you guys what the point of this blog is. I started blogging to show you readers everything about me and my beloved artform, which I've shared above. And that's why I name this blog That Boy (Remember!) and his so-called art. And you guys might wonder why the title should be mistershakyhands which makes me seem like a weirdo. Well, actually i am blessed with a pair a hands which often shakes (Yes,they literally shake a lot) whenever I'm nervous or not. And they give some of my friends a reason to laugh at me sometimes -___- *no offense hands, i still love you
And I think that's enough for this time, sorry for my long weird boring laughable introduction. Hope you guys stick around and enjoy my next posts. Ciao! ;)
